Subsidized staple food project
Subsidized staple food project
Based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the Foundation announced during the last month of Ramadan a project to support "the sale of subsidized foodstuffs to citizens."The project has met an increasing turnout on the part of Emirati families to benefit from the humanitarian initiative adopted by the Foundation through the continuous support policy, which achieves many advantages, including the provision of basic goods and services at reasonable prices for low-income citizens. This support is of great importance in the humanitarian programs of the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, as it has a direct impact on the welfare of the beneficiary and society in general, by preserving the real income of the individual by stabilizing prices away from global price fluctuations. This project strengthens the values of human solidarity, and emphasizes the mission of the Foundation in its endeavor to alleviate the burden of living conditions and secure the needs of various groups of society, as an expression of the values of solidarity and community cohesion that the wise leadership is keen to establish in a way that enhances the living stability and social well-being of citizens.Later, some basic foodstuffs were added, such as mineral water, juices, olive oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, puree, tomato sauce, in addition to dates of the type of Khalas and fard and date paste.
