Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation had completed the "Maternity Hospital Project" in the city of Chimkent, the second largest city of the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of population, within the framework of the medical and educational aids provided by the Foundation to the needy in many of the brotherly and friendly countries.

The Foundation had afforded supplying the hospital with the latest devices and medical equipment and as such the hospital was called "Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital," with the aim of providing health care services for women "motherhood and childbirth" and the project was designed to accommodate / 120 / beds including / 12 / beds for intensive care and 8 beds for newborns.

The project aims to raise the level of medical treatment for mothers, infants and children and to reduce the costs of treatment for the poor families. The project contains in-patient departments: "Obstetrics and Gynecology, Newborns and Neonatal Surgery."

  
The main building of the hospital was completed and the devices and medical equipment will be supplied later. Work is going on in external area such as the wall, and the other project services are close to completion.
The hospital comprises OPD, in-patient treatment, physiotherapy for the pregnant, laboratories, maternity ward, four operating theaters, intensive care rooms and sterilization rooms. It also contains the hospital administration offices, doctor offices, and interior restaurant for patients.

The hospital is considered one of the latest and best hospitals in the city as it serves the people of Chimkent and southern regions of Kazakhstan, where nearly 1,200,000 persons live.
