Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation executes Iftar project in Syria and Sudan

Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation  has continued, through the UAE embassies in a number of Arab and foreign capitals implementation of  Iftar Project. In Khartoum, the state embassy yesterday carried out Iftar programs”, as commissioned by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

The UAE Embassy in Khartoum organized many collective Iftar banquets in a number of Sudanese cities under the supervision of Ahmed Hassan Suleiman Al-Shehi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan.

The Sudanese officials, in the gatherings targeted by Iftar programs, expressed their full satisfaction with Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation support of the needy and their thanks and gratitude to the UAE leadership for its humanitarian attitudes and their continued support for the Sudanese people.

In Damascus, the UAE Embassy in Syria yesterday started to carry out a set of Ramadan seasonal projects in the context of the humanitarian role played by the UAE as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God save and bless him, to provide charitable and humanitarian aids for the groups in need in the Arab and Islamic countries, under the supervision of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.                                               
Aref Abdullah Nasser Al Tenaijy, Charge d’affairs of the UAE Embassy in Damascus, said that the projects this year include an Iftar program, Zakat al-Fitr program, Eid clothing program and distribution of dates to the needy families in the city of Damascus and a number of other Syrian provinces, and the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria and the places where the poor Iraqi families live in Syria.

In this context, about 10,000 food baskets, containing a collection of the basic food items frequently consumed during the month of Ramadan, will be distributed, he explained.
