Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation was established on the inspiration of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. It continues the great initiatives in good faith which are the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God forgive him and rest his soul in peace
The Foundation has adopted a clear vision for offering pioneering initiatives to serve humanity and its mission abides by a holistic approach in the service of mankind.
Hence, the Foundation prepared its strategy after an in depth study of humanitarian work being carried out around the world and by the evaluation of human suffering in impoverished and deprived communities. Particularly by communicating with charities, agencies, associations and organizations in the United Arab Emirates and in the region, in addition to communication and coordination with organizations and agencies affiliated with the United Nations and independent global institutions known for their major initiatives and efforts in charitable work.
The Foundation aims at carrying out significant programs and projects through its pioneering initiatives to serve deprived communities in developing countries by contributing to and supporting human development in health and education fields. The benevolence of the Foundation, its efforts and care embraces all human beings regardless of their language, sex, color, race or religion as its mission seeks to encompass all the deprived and needy people around the world.
Domestically, the Foundation is committed to fulfill all the needs of the ill, disabled, widows, orphans and students and in doing so prepares permanent and seasonal assistance programs throughout the Emirates.
The Foundation also established vocational training as one of its main priorities to support efforts exerted to reduce poverty and unemployment in the Arab world.
Internationally, the Foundation extends its initiatives to a wide geographical range through two main pillars: the first is by the immediate response to emergencies and crises and the second is by entering into selected partnerships with chosen international agencies and institutions, to carry out its initiatives and projects in health and educational fields.
