Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation implements a mosque project in Kazakhstan

Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation carries out a project to establish a mosque which accommodates more than 3,500 worshipers in Kazakhstan called Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque

The mosque is located in the city of Chimkent, Kazakhstan on a built-up area of 4,000 sq. m. and a prayer room for women with an area of 270 sq. m. More than 50% of the mosque project was completed to serve the congregation in the city of Chimkent, with a population of 1,200,000 people.

The mosque is designed on the Islamic architectural style and will be considered, after opening, one of the largest mosques in Kazakhstan. The project aims to provide a proper place of worship and to prepare a culture center for the Muslims there since the mosque is characterized by its wide area and numerous appendixes and facilities including a large chapel and four minarets of 31 m. height each, in addition to a big dome of 37 m. height. The mosque also includes a group of "toilets and ablution places, an accommodation for the Imam, a public library and a parking lot for 120 cars.

The total site area of the mosque reaches about 6,500 sq. m. while the construction area is nearly 4,000 sq. m., and all construction works are close to completion.

The implementation of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque, in the city of Chimkent, Kazakhstan by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation is aimed at  promoting the human and spiritual values sought by the Foundation and creating strong ties between the UAE, Kazakhstan and all the brotherly and friendly countries in addition to providing aid and assistance to the needy all over the world regardless of race, color or sex.
