A team from the Khalifa Foundation began a visit to Somalia to learn about the needs of its population and alleviate their suffering as a result of the drought.This comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to provide the necessary assistance to the brotherly Somali people who are suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions.An official source said that coordination will be made with officials in Somalia to purchase relief materials from the local market to distribute them to the needy in Hargeisa and its countryside, Selel region, and Del coastal region.
